Philosophy

An integrated hypnotherapy and coaching method, taught in order.

Most of us were trained in pieces. A weekend in hypnosis. A different weekend in NLP. A coaching course that never mentioned either one. Then somebody sits down in front of you on a Tuesday morning and you have to choose. This page explains how hypnotherapy, NLP, transformational coaching and positive psychology become one six-phase session structure.

Who is writing this

I wrote this method myself, from my own room.

I am Catalina A. Oprea, CHt. I am a clinical hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapist, a professor at Hermes University Rome, and an epigenetic coach. I help clients create lasting change by combining subconscious work, evidence-informed insight, and compassionate guidance.

My background includes studies in genetics, neuroscience, child psychology, and transformational modalities that explore how beliefs, experiences, and patterns shape the way we live.

My path began not only through academic curiosity but through personal experience. As the mother of a special needs child, I was driven to seek deeper answers. That search led me to study genetics at Harvard and to explore how biology, environment, and experience shape our lives.

Through this work I began to see the connection between genetics, epigenetics, and hypnotherapy. Genetics may provide the blueprint, but our beliefs, emotional patterns, and life experiences influence how that blueprint is expressed. Integrating these disciplines became The Kure Method®.

Six principles I teach

These principles decide what belongs in a session, what waits and what stays out of the room.

One sequence, not a shelf of techniques

A technique gives you an option. A sequence tells you which option belongs now. The method exists to make that decision easier under real pressure, with a real person in the room.

The client's own words come first

I do not translate a person's problem into professional language before they have described it themselves. Their sentence is the working material for everything that follows.

Count what can be counted

Calmer and stronger are real, but they are hard to check. Three countable markers make progress visible and protect both people from wishful memory.

Consent is structural, not a formality

Ground is the first phase because agreement, screening and referral are part of the method, not paperwork attached to it.

Plain language is a professional skill

If I cannot explain a step in words a fifteen-year-old would follow, I do not understand it well enough to use it on somebody else.

Say the honest thing, even when it costs a sale

The method names its limits. It is education and practice structure. It is not medicine, diagnosis or a licence to treat.

How the principles become a session

  1. Phase 1

    Ground

Screening, contracting, agreeing what this is and is not.

  2. Phase 2

    Name

The client describes it in their own words and chooses three countable markers.

  3. Phase 3

    Map

How the problem actually runs: the trigger, the picture, the exception.

  4. Phase 4

    Meet

Focused inward work: absorption, a depth check, agreed hand signals.

  5. Phase 5

    Turn

The change is rehearsed and attached to a cue the client will really meet.

  6. Phase 6

    Keep

Emergence, one small daily practice, and a review of the markers.

Four questions practitioners ask me

Hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching in one session structure

Each discipline answers a different question. Hypnotherapy asks how a person goes inward. NLP asks how the problem runs. Coaching asks what happens on Thursday. Positive psychology asks what to keep. Taught separately, you hold four opinions. Taught in order, you hold one plan.

How to structure a session when you were trained in pieces

A structure is not a script. Ground, Name, Map, Meet, Turn and Keep tell you which question belongs now. You can still use the technique you like best — inside the phase where it does its work.

Why an integrated method is easier to remember

Disconnected training fades because nothing holds it. Six phases in a fixed order give every technique a place, so you recall it under pressure instead of improvising.

Choosing a practitioner training: what to ask

Ask what the sequence is. Ask what is measured. Ask what the training does not authorize you to do. If a school cannot answer those three in plain words, the certificate will not help you on a Tuesday morning.

What I claim, and what I do not

I do claim

The sequence is teachable, observable and easy to explain to a client. It draws on studied ideas: focused attention and suggestion, habit cues, rehearsal and specific markers.

I do not claim

That it cures, heals or treats any condition, that a clinical trial of the method exists, or that the training authorizes medical, psychological or psychotherapy practice.
