What Is GLP-1 Coaching?
How coaches support clients using GLP-1 medication with habits, nutrition routines, adherence conversations and lifestyle structure, without prescribing or managing medication.

Why GLP-1 clients need coaching
Many people now begin a GLP-1 medication under medical supervision and discover that the medical part is only one piece of the picture. Appetite changes, but habits, food choices, movement, sleep, identity and social situations do not change by themselves.
This is where coaching belongs. A coach does not prescribe, adjust, recommend or manage medication. A coach supports the daily structure around it: routine, planning, protein and hydration habits discussed in general lifestyle terms, movement, sleep and the client's own goals.
What GLP-1 coaching includes
The work is practical and repeatable. It gives the client a rhythm they can keep when motivation and appetite change.
- Daily and weekly routine design
- Lifestyle habits around meals, movement and hydration
- Adherence conversations, including how to speak with the prescriber
- Emotional eating patterns and stress responses
- Body image, identity and expectation management
- Planning for plateaus, travel, holidays and social events
- Maintenance habits for life after the medication phase
The boundary that keeps this professional
A GLP-1 coach never prescribes, doses, changes, pauses or interprets medication, never diagnoses, and never treats eating disorders or metabolic disease. Medical questions go to the prescribing clinician; disordered eating or psychological distress goes to qualified care.
Naming this boundary out loud protects the client and makes the coach easier for doctors and clinics to work alongside.
A KURE Method® lens
The KURE Method® gives this work a five-session order: Assessment, Cause, Detachment, Change and Consolidation. The client sees what their pattern actually is, what keeps it, and which single response they will repeat this week.
This article is educational. The KURE Method® does not diagnose, treat, cure or replace medical, psychological, psychiatric, addiction, legal or financial care.
